Behind the Design

This design celebrates the Huiracchuro (Pheucticus chrysogaster), one of the most striking birds of the Ecuadorian Andes. On the front, the male is shown perched on a branch, highlighting its intense yellow plumage, bold black-and-white contrasts, and the elegance that makes it unmistakable.

On the back, the composition expands the story of the species with the male and female perched together, along with a male in flight that reveals the full strength and beauty of its plumage in motion. The illustration is complemented by a linden flower, included as a subtle nod to the plant resources this bird interacts with in its environment. Altogether, the design seeks to honor the chromatic richness, delicacy, and Andean identity of the huiracchuro.

Every 593 Origins hoodie is handcrafted in Ecuador using a carefully selected cotton-rich fabric blend designed to provide comfort, durability and long-lasting performance.

Each illustration is printed using Direct-to-Garment (DTG) technology with OEKO-TEX® certified inks, free from harmful substances, delivering vibrant colors and a soft finish that becomes part of the fabric.

We collaborate with small workshops and local artisans under a responsible production model that values craftsmanship, fair work and thoughtfully made products designed to be enjoyed for years.
