Behind the Design

This design celebrates the Andean condor, one of the most emblematic birds of the Andes and a symbol of freedom, strength, and the high mountains.

The main illustration highlights its imposing flight and immense wingspan, which allow it to soar efficiently above mountains and cliffs. The naturalist studies complement the composition by revealing aspects of its life, including nesting on high, protected cliffs, caring for its single chick, and distinctive anatomical features such as its featherless head and neck, adapted to its role as a scavenger.

The cool tones, Andean landscapes, and graphic details evoke the high-altitude environment inhabited by this extraordinary species. Because we believe that when we know nature, we learn to protect it.

Materials & Sustainability

Made from eco canvas crafted with 100% recycled polyester. Its invisible protective finish helps repel water-based liquids, accidental spills, and dust, while its abrasion resistance reduces pilling caused by regular use and washing. The base fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, and according to the manufacturer’s technical specifications, its recycled content is backed by RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) and GRS 4.0 (Global Recycled Standard).

Each placemat is handmade and printed using sublimation technology, allowing us to reproduce detailed artwork, vibrant colors, and rich blacks. The inks are certified to OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT.

Impact

This cushion cover transforms recycled polyester into a decorative, durable, and reusable product.

It is handmade in women-led community workshops, where we seek to create fairly paid employment, strengthen local skills, and distribute the opportunities generated by our production more equitably.

Its zipper closure allows the cover to be removed and washed separately, making it easier to care for and helping extend its useful life.
