Behind the Design

This book was created with the intention of transforming some of the most extraordinary inhabitants of Galápagos into characters capable of inspiring creativity and curiosity.

Across its 25 illustrations, iconic species from the archipelago are reimagined with expressive lines, large eyes, small details, and a playful visual language.

Each page was designed to leave room for something essential: the imagination of the person coloring it. There are no right or wrong colors; every animal can become a completely personal interpretation.

The cover also brings together several of these characters alongside Charles Darwin, creating a small connection between exploration, nature, and discovery.

More than a finished book, we wanted to create one that each child can complete in their own way.

An invitation to discover Galápagos through color, imagination, and creativity.

Our Coloring Book features 25 original illustrations inspired by the wildlife of the islands, created in a friendly and expressive style so children and families can bring each species to life in their own way.

Each illustration includes the name of the species in both English and Spanish, turning coloring time into an opportunity to learn, recognize animals, and connect with the biodiversity of Galápagos in a fun and engaging way.

At the end of the book, we also include blank pages for drawing, writing, or letting imagination create new stories and creatures.

The interior is printed on 120 g/m² bond paper, selected to provide a pleasant surface for drawing and coloring while offering greater resistance than lightweight standard paper.

Its weight makes it suitable for colored pencils, crayons, and other art materials, as well as light wet techniques when used carefully.

The hardcover protects the illustrations and gives the book structure, making it a piece designed to accompany many hours of creativity.

The final pages were intentionally left blank so each person can add their own drawings, ideas, or memories.
Impact
