Behind the Design

This design celebrates the extraordinary diversity of hummingbirds from the Ecuadorian Andes, bringing together species such as the bearded mountaineer (Oxypogon guerinii), the sparkling violetear (Colibri coruscans), the collared inca (Coeligena torquata), and representations of the trainbearer (Lesbia victoriae).

Through hovering flight and perched birds, the composition is interwoven with bromeliads, ferns, highland flowers, and other plants from the habitats where these small birds find food and shelter. Deep greens, violet tones, and iridescent flashes evoke the almost magical energy that defines hummingbirds.

More than simply bringing together different species, this design seeks to represent an Andean landscape full of movement, color, and life, where birds and vegetation belong to the same natural world.
Description

A lightweight, soft, and versatile bandana designed to accompany you while traveling, enjoying outdoor activities, or throughout everyday life.

Its lightweight polyester fabric offers a pleasant feel and a repellent finish that helps protect against liquids and accidental splashes. Each bandana is sublimation printed on both sides, creating a colorful piece that can be worn around the neck, on the head, or as an accessory.
Materials & Sustainability

Made from a woven fabric composed of 100% polyester filament, selected for its lightweight feel, softness, and performance. Its invisible protective finish helps prevent the immediate absorption of water-based liquids and makes the fabric easier to care for when exposed to splashes and dust.

The fabric construction also provides UPF 50 sun protection, along with resistance to tearing and color fading caused by chlorine exposure.

Each side is printed using digital sublimation, a process in which color is transferred directly into the polyester fibers through heat and pressure. This technology allows us to reproduce detailed illustrations, vibrant colors, and smooth transitions while preserving the soft feel of the fabric.

Each bandana is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in a partner family workshop led by women, where every piece passes through skilled hands before becoming a finished product.
Impact

Behind every bandana is a small and human-centered production chain.

We work with a family-run workshop made up of women who are heads of their households, seeking to create stable, fairly paid work, recognize the value of textile craftsmanship, and distribute the opportunities generated by our production more equitably.

At the same time, we choose a durable, washable fabric designed for repeated use. For us, creating responsibly also means making products that can be kept, used, and enjoyed for a long time.
Care Instructions

• Wash with similar colors.
• Do not mix light and dark colors.
• Do not use fabric softener.
• Do not soak.
• Do not twist or wring.
• Remove all detergent residue completely to help preserve the water-repellent finish.
• Tumble dry on low heat or dry in the shade.
• Do not store while damp.
If ironing is necessary, use a maximum temperature of 110°C.
• Avoid contact with rough surfaces or sharp edges that could snag the fabric.
• Do not apply concentrated disinfectants directly onto the fabric.
