Behind the Design
Description

Discovering Galápagos can also be a game.

Our Galápagos Matching Game brings together 30 iconic species from the archipelago in 60 illustrated cards, creating an experience that combines memory, fun, and learning for children and adults.

Each species is identified in both Spanish and English, helping younger players become familiar with some of the islands’ most representative animals while they play. The game features Darwin’s finches, the flightless cormorant, Galápagos albatross, blue-footed booby, sea turtles, giant tortoises, marine iguanas, whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, and many other species.

Designed to be enjoyed with family and friends, it is a simple and entertaining way to connect with the extraordinary biodiversity of Galápagos.

Materials & Sustainability

The cards are made from a thick and durable material, designed to withstand the frequent handling of a family game. A matte protective film helps protect the printed surface and extend the life of each card.

The game comes in a sturdy box made with sugarcane fiber paper, designed to keep all the cards organized and protected between games.

Every detail—from the illustrations to the packaging—has been carefully considered to create an attractive, functional, and durable product.

Impact

We believe that one of the best ways to protect nature begins with getting to know it.

This game transforms the biodiversity of Galápagos into an accessible and entertaining experience, helping children in particular recognize species, remember their names, and develop curiosity about the natural world.

As the game unfolds, each card becomes a small opportunity to talk about the species that make Galápagos one of the most extraordinary places on Earth.

Because we believe that when we know nature, we learn to protect it.

How To Play

How to Play

Shuffle the cards and place them all face down.

Players take turns flipping over two cards, trying to find two matching illustrations. If the cards match, the player keeps the pair. If they do not match, both cards are turned face down again and play passes to the next person.

Memory becomes your best ally as you try to remember where each species is hidden.

At the end of the game, the player with the most pairs wins.

While playing, children and adults can discover the names of each species in Spanish and English and learn more about the incredible wildlife of Galápagos.
