Made with the variety of fine aroma cocoa called ‘Nacional’. This cocoa is carefully harvested, fermented and dried by farmers from the ASOPROTESCO association on their own farms in Tesoro Escondido in the province of Esmeraldas before being shipped to the Ecuadorian capital to be carefully crafted into our chocolate bars.
43% milk chocolate:
This chocolate has been made using 100% fine aroma cocoa beans. Its sweetness together with its strong Andean milk flavor is a perfect pleasure for those who prefer a sweet and smooth chocolate. The Washu or spider monkeys live in one of the last remaining tropical forests on the Ecuadorian coast. They feed on fruits and are recognized for being essential seed dispersers, thus maintaining the ecological balance of these forests.
WASHU CHOCOLATE is part of a conservation strategy in one of the biodiversity hotspots on the Ecuadorian Coast, supporting activities that seek to protect endangered species.
