Description
Made with the variety of fine aroma cocoa called ‘Nacional’. This cocoa is carefully harvested, fermented and dried by farmers from the ASOPROTESCO association on their own farms in Tesoro Escondido in the province of Esmeraldas before being shipped to the Ecuadorian capital to be carefully crafted into our chocolate bars.
43% milk chocolate with coffee and cocoa nibs:
This 43% milk chocolate combined with the flavor of a special Ecuadorian roasted coffee and the small pieces of dry cocoa beans, called nibs, will provide our customers with a sweet experience with notes of dry seeds and sensations of caramel. The Ecuadorian capuchin monkey uses rocks to obtain food from hard fruits or shells. It can be considered as the most intelligent primate in the forest. As a result of habitat fragmentation and the illegal wildlife trade, this species is on the brink of extinction.
WASHU CHOCOLATE is part of a conservation strategy in one of the biodiversity hotspots on the Ecuadorian Coast, supporting activities that seek to protect endangered species.
